An empty cage girl if you kill that bird

Eyes are the windows to the soul. A statement I truly believe in, people often ask me, why are you a vegetarian? If you eat plants that means they suffer too! but there is a difference to me to eat something that could had been staring at you and thinking something of you than a plant that could had suffer but without knowing it. The thing is that we can all live in harmony, we can use them without treating them badly or killing them.
This is a string of photographs taken by Oscar Ciutat called "Caged" The project was to take photos of caged animals in a zoo, to have a documentation of the animals' eyes to try to figure out if they looked sad because they weren't free, now the only way to prove this is to have the same photos of free animals in the wild, nonetheless I look at their eyes without anything to compare to and still I feel so sad, empty and wanting to free all the animals of every zoo in the world...
It really makes you think if how we do things and the things we do are going to make us free and happy in the end.

Spend a lazy evening with me

I have talked about Elisa Malo before, she likes to call herself a drawer and her drawings are simply adorable. Recently I discover this interview done by the amazing tarde o temprano blog on their Closet Voyeur section that I just love! I am sure I am not the only one when I confess that I am a bit of an enjoyer of other people's houses, I really enjoy watching how other people live, specially if they live in amazing places like Elisa Malo, so I decided to share my obsession here.
Among other things Elisa's favorite designer is Marc Jacobs, her favorite city is NY and her favorite ice cream flavor is blackberry. Here is the complete interview done to this cool girl who I only wish to meet someday.

Wake up and smell the sun

I am just so happy and excited I can't help it and I love it!
These are eight songs that make me happy and giggly and I am totally obsessed with. Here I share them in this little playlist.

You Make my Dreams Come True - Hall and Oates
Go Outside -  Cults
Something Good Can Work - Two Door Cinema Club
Airplanes -  Local Natives
Good Vibrations -  The Beach Boys
Cigarretes - Russian Red
Sweet Disposition - The Temper Trap
On Again, Off Again - Sean Lennon

Isn't it amazing that the world is so beautiful and we are part of it? I once wrote here that we were made of stardust, I am just confident that we are stars within stars and the only thing we have to do is shine. We just have to be aware of it and not let anybody trick us or tell us any different.

Did you know that there are some people that are afraid of touching the ground? They are all right walking but if they have to be standing for a little while they freak out. It is quite strange to me but it is possible to be afraid of almost anything. I myself have phobias... we all do.

Sleepy Time Tea

Oh yes another music list :)
This is the playlist I always fall asleep with (well some of the song mine is way longer) since I was a young teenager I always felt the need to listen to music to help me get into my dreams, before I used to listen to NIN's The Fragile on my Discman Player, later I acquire a little cd player with speakers and all and I used to have Tori Amos on all the time at a very low volume. Now I have a very modern iPod speakers' system with alarm clock and sleep timer haha which makes easier to set and to sleep to.
Well that is it, enjoy.

Birds - Emiliana Torrini
Sad Eyes - Bat For Lashes
Wild Is The Wind - Cat Power
Love Letter - Lisa Mitchell
Nicest Thing - Kate Nash
Gabriel - Lamb
My Love - Lykke Li
Samson - Regina Spektor
Comtine D'un Autre Été -Yann Tiersen
Diamond Day - Vashti Bunyan

A song a day keeps bad feelings away

A little while ago this cool dude I know started a little project on me, he was to send me one song a day, he not only sends the .mp3 archives but he also writes little messages describing the songs or things related to what is going on in our lives. The deal was to put all the songs into one list and shuffle them and then send them as they were randomly arranged by his iTunes. So far I have 33 songs on the list I created for it (we started this 34 days ago, but I just didn't like one to add it) and now I want to share it here. These are 15 songs of the 34 he has sent. I listen to them everyday and I am totally obsessed with them now.
I can honestly say that music makes everything work... it can sure help you get to someone's heart.

The hours in between

I believe if there’s any kind of God it wouldn’t be in any of us, not you or me but just this little space in between. If there’s any kind of magic in this world it must be in the attempt of understanding someone, sharing something. I know, it’s almost impossible to succeed but who cares really? The answer must be in the attempt.
“I always feel this pressure of being a strong and independent icon of womanhood, and without making it look my whole life is revolving around some guy. But loving someone, and being loved means so much to me. We always make fun of it and stuff… But isn’t everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more?”
I love her apartment
The poem written by the bum on the river

What if I tell you that I never forgot you, that I still love you and even though the time we spent together was little it was the most amazing thing that happened in my life. I make a wish to never forget your smile and your kiss and maybe just maybe I will see you, in another life perhaps.
